Code of Conduct

To help create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for everyone, we follow this Code of Conduct.

In addition to our code of conduct, we also have “Awareness Angels” present at the festival. These are volunteers whose main responsibility is to ensure everyone feels welcome and included. You can always reach out to them when they are on shift, or contact one of the organizers if needed.

Physical Safety

"DOWN" is our safeword – It means:
➤ Stop the trick immediately
➤ Return to the ground – no discussion

Everyone in your group must be:
➤ Informed about the trick you're doing
➤ Actively involved in ensuring safety

All roles (base, flyer, spotter) stay present and attentive until the flyer has landed safely.

Have a clear exit strategy before starting any move.

Only take on roles (base, flyer, spotter) where you feel confident and prepared.
➤ Not sure? Ask for help or step out.
➤ Example: Ask for an additional spotter if you feel uncertain due to size, experience, or strength.

Consent & Awareness

Consent = Mutual + Informed + Voluntary.
➤ Applies to all contact and activities.
➤ Even if acro involves close contact, check in:
  “Is this okay with you?”

Respect boundaries, both verbal and non-verbal.

Diversity & Inclusion:
Everyone is welcome — regardless of:
➤ Experience
➤ Body type
➤ Gender identity
➤ Ethnic origin
➤ Race
➤ Age
➤ Beliefs
➤ Disability
➤ Sexual orientation

Be non-judgmental, accepting, and curious.
➤ Every body and background has something to teach.

Thinking of training topless?
➤ Ask first if your partners are comfortable with that.
